Durban: Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt has maintained he is not "the brat I am made out
to be" and brushed aside his alleged links with a plot to murder teenage heartthrob
Hrithik Roshan, saying he shared 'good' relations
with the younger actor.
"People make mistakes and I've made my fair share, but those who know me will vouch
for the fact that I am not this brat that I am made out to be," Dutt, who is due to
arrive here for a December 28 'Now or Never' mega concert promoted by superstar
Amitabh Bachchan, told the 'Sunday Times'.
On his name being mentioned in a reported plot to murder Hrithik, he said, "Our
relationship has always been good. We've even starred in a movie, Mission Kashmir,
together.
"These so-called allegations haven't placed the slightest strain on our
relationship, and personally I welcome the opportunity to share the same stage with
him," he added.
Hrithik will also perform in the mega show, along with Shahrukh Khan, Karisma
Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, Rani Mukharjee, Shilpa Shetty, Kareena Kapoor, and Preity
Zinta.
"Being the son of famous stars (Sunil Dutt and Nargis), I have lived my life under a
constant microscope, so whatever I have done has been magnified many times over," he
told the daily.
"If that satisfied some people's curiosity and helps others to sell their magazines,
what can I do about it," he asked.
Sanjay said some of his best friends in South Africa "don't judge me by what they
read in the press and the gossip they hear... They know me for who I am, and I love
them for it."
