Jammu: Six civilians were injured when a rocket fired from across the line of
control (LoC) by Pakistani troops fell in Shindra village of Poonch district on
December 16, official sources said.
Pakistani troops from across LoC fired a rocket, which fell and exploded near a bus
stop in Shindra village of Surankote tehsil this morning, the sources said.
Six people, who received splinter injuries, were rushed to Surankot sub-district
hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile Pakistani troops have also increased firing and shelling in Noushera
sector of Rajouri district, the sources said, adding that about 275 mortar shells
were fired by Pak troops in the area of Bhawani, Makri, Kalsian and Jhanghar in
Noushera sector on December 15.
One cattlehead was killed in the shelling but there was no other damage or loss
reported from the Indian side, they said.
