Islamabad: Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on December 16 reviewed the withdrawal
of Indian and Pakistani forces from the borders at a meeting of the Corps Commanders
in Rawalpindi.
Calling for resumption of dialogue between India and Pakistan to resolve differences,
Musharraf, also the Chief of Army Staff, reviewed process of de-escalation,
appreciating the "efficiency and smoothness" of the Pakistan Armed Forces, an
official release said in Islamabad.
Musharraf reiterated that all outstanding issues, including Kashmir, should be
resolved through a meaningful dialogue between both the countries.
The Commanders meet also reviewed the security situation within the country, it said.
