Gujarat election results
Ahmedabad: Police fired at least one round in air to disperse two groups indulging in stone-pelting at Panigate area of Vadodara on December 16 morning.

The situation was under control and patrolling was intensified in all sensitive areas to prevent any further incident of violence, police said.

Meanwhile, curfew from sensitive Raopura area of Vadodara city was lifted on December 16 morning where violence broke out on December 15 during Assembly election victory marches by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activists in some sensitive areas.

The curfew was imposed only as a precautionary measure and there was no tension in the area, officials said.

One person was killed and 17 others injured, one of them in police firing, after violence broke out during Assembly election victory marches by BJP activists.
