UP government approves renaming of Amethi

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on December 17 formally approved the renaming
of Amethi, the Lok Sabha constituency of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, as Chatrapati
Shahuji Maharaj Nagar, and accorded it the status of a district.
