Jharkhand women, Services men reign supreme in archery

Hyderabad: Dola Banerjee led Jharkhand women to a gold while Services claimed the honour in the men's section of the archery FITA team events in the National Games on Tuesday.

Banerjee and her statemates Bansaralin Dhar, Keiengunuo Theuno and Jhanu Hansda registered an authoritative win scoring 232 points. Uttar Pradesh bagged the silver with 218 and Delhi finished with 196 points to claim the bronze.

The men's event witnessed stiffer competition as Services and Andhra Pradesh were going neck and neck. Finally it was Services’ Viswash and Tarundeep Raiwho came to their team's rescue and helped it win by a five-point margin. Services tallied 239 points to Andhra's 234. The bronze went to Jharkhand.
