Gujarat election results
Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister-designate Narendra Modi on December 18 hinted at a "token" ministry and a short Assembly session before the year-end.

In an informal talk with reporters in Gandhinagar, Modi, after meeting Governor Sundar Singh Bhandari this morning to stake claim to form the government, said a "token" ministry will be sworn in on December 22.

Modi said a short Assembly session will commence before the year-end.

"Further expansion of the Cabinet would be decided later in the beginning of the New Year," Modi said.

He said a decision on the full-fledged Assembly session will be taken only after discussions with the leader of the Opposition, who is likely to be elected on December 19.
