Delhi Sena activists burst crackers, create panic
Wednesday, December 18 2002 13:02 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Jubilant Shiv Sena activists burst crackers immediately after the Delhi trial court awarded death sentence to three convicts in the Parliament House attack case, creating panic among the litigants and police at Patiala House.

Soon after special judge S N Dhingra pronounced the verdict in the case, around 50 Shiv Sena activists burst crackers throwing the police into a tizzy as they initially thought it to be gunshots.

When the confusion cleared, the Sena activists started shouting slogans like "Pakistan murdabad" and dispersed.
