Srinagar: Protest demonstrations were held on December 18 in Sopore, Kupwara and Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir, the native places of the three persons sentenced to death in the Parliament attack case by a Delhi court.

People came out on the streets and shouted slogans, official sources said, adding that the demonstrators dispersed on their own after sometime.

Separatist leader Shabir Shah and a number of people visited the residence of the three convicts, they said. Shah also led one of the demonstrations.
