Pak shelling across border; no casualties, damages

Jammu: Pakistani troops targeted Noushera sector in Rajouri district with mortar bombs on December 17 causing no damage on Indian side, according to official sources.

Pakistani troops fired 65 mortar bombs on Bareri area of Noushera sector between 15:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs (IST) on December 17, the sources said, adding that Indian troops also retaliated effectively.

There was no loss of life or damage reported on the Indian side so far while any casualty on the Pakistan side could not be ascertained, they said.

Intermittent small arms firing was also reported between the two sides along the international border at Pindi and Pital border outposts in Jammu district during the last 24 hours, the sources added.
