Chaturvedi expresses shock over train mishap

Bangalore: Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi on December 21 expressed shock and grief over the railway accident involving the Kachiguda Express train bound for Bangalore, and said, "All of us should see that such tragedies do not recur."

Conveying his deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the accident and wishing speedy recovery of the injured passengers, he said they need to bear the tragedy with great fortitude. "Their grief is shared by all the people of the Karnataka and elsewhere," he said.

"I would like to assure that all necessary assistance would be provided to the affected families and persons by the government," he added.
