New Delhi: Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on December 21 expressed deep shock and grief over the loss of lives in the train accident in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

Vajpayee conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and wished speedy recovery to the injured.

He also spoke to Railway Minister Nitish Kumar about the mishap and took stock of the situation.
