Srinagar: A MiG-21 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed on
December 26 near the Srinagar airport, damaging a house in Badgam district of Jammu
and Kashmir, official sources said.
The fate of the pilot was not known, the sources said. Casualties, if any on the ground, could also not be ascertained immediately, they said.
The plane crashed around 2.25 pm (IST) in Lalgaom village damaging the house of one Ghulam Ahmad Ganai, the sources said.
Senior police and security officers have rushed to the accident site.
