Gandhinagar: Dr Mangaldas Patel, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Legislative
Assembly (MLA) from Mansa is likely to be elected as Speaker of the 11th Gujarat
Assembly.
Patel was the only person to file nomination for the post of Speaker on December 26
morning.
He was chief whip of the BJP in the last Assembly.
Minister for Constitutional and Parliamentary Affairs Ashok Bhatt accompanied Patel
for filing his nomination.
