Patna: Ranchi-based lensman of 'The Hindustan Times' Ashok Karn was released unhurt
on December 28 by his abductors near a village in Bihar's Nalanda district.
Director general of police R R Prasad said that Karn was left by his abductors near
Jaitipur village under Islampur police station. Karn was being brought to Patna
under heavy escort.
The lensman was taken hostage on December 26 when he had gone to Bela village, about
135 kms from here, on an assignment.
