Stage set for Jamali's trust vote tomorrow
Islamabad: Stage is set for Pakistan's pro-military Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali to win vote of confidence in the National Assembly on December 30 with increased majority, as his government managed to wean away more elected representatives of former premier Banazir Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party (PPP).
Pak irked over its inclusion in US' INS list
Islamabad: In a rare move, Pakistan has summoned its US Ambassador Nancy Powel to meet its Foreign Minister Khurshid Muhammad Kasuri and conveyed resentment over Washington's decision to bring in Pakistani nationals under the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System (NSEERS), which requires them to register with the government.
'Dhaka's Defence deal with China won't hurt India'
Dhaka: The Sino-Bangladesh Defence cooperation agreement signed recently will not hurt Dhaka's ties with New Delhi, Foreign Minister Morshed Khan has said.
