New Delhi: Sitar maestro Ravi Shankar's daughter Anoushka Shankar was on January 7 nominated for the prestigious Grammy awards for music.

Anoushka was nominated in the 'Best World Music Album' category for 'Live at Carnegie Hall' by the US National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in New York City, a press release by the Ravishankar Centre here said.

The 45th Grammy Awards will be presented on February 23 in New York City.

Ravi Shankar won his third Grammy last year for his album "Full Circle: Carnegie Hall 2000".
