New Delhi: World Cup cricket beginning early February would be shown live on
Doordarshan following an agreement with the Global Cricket Corporation, which would
make the public broadcaster richer by Rs 23 crore to Rs 30 crore "without paying a
single penny".
This was announced by the Prasar Bharati chief executive officer K S Sarma after a
meeting of the Board headed by M V Kamath, who was recently appointed the chairman
of the public broadcaster.
