Kochi: Prime Minister A B Vajpayee left for Port Blair by an Indian Air Force aircraft after a day's visit to Kochi on January 18.

Earlier, the Prime Minister inaugurated the two-day Global Investor Meet.

Union Minister for Labour Sahib Singh Verma, Union Minister for Shipping V P Goyal, Planning Commission deputy chairman, K C Pant, accompanied the Prime minister to Port Blair.

The Prime Minister was seen off at the Naval airport by state Governor Sikander Bakht, Chief Minister A K Antony and other officials.
