JKLF leader assails Musharraf on border bid
Islamabad: Accusing Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf of floating the "treacherous" proposal to convert the line of control (LoC) in Kashmir as permanent border with India, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) leader Amanullah Khan on January 18 said he would launch an agitation from February 11 in Pakistan.
'Kasuri will attend UN meet, not plead with INS'
Islamabad: Embarrassed by blunt assertions by Bush administration officials that the US would not review its decision asking Pakistanis in America to register under the immigration and naturalisation service (INS), Pakistan on January 17 said Foreign Minister Khurshid Muhammad Kasuri would leave for New York on January 18 to attend a United Nations meet and not plead with Washington over immigration issue.
