New Delhi: The Centre and insurgent outfit Bodo Liberation Tiger (BLT) on January 20
decided to extend ceasefire by a month till February 21.
The decision followed tripartite talks involving representatives of the Centre, the
Assam government and BLT to resolve outstanding issues.
"As some more time is required to resolve all outstanding issues, it has been decided
to extend cessation of hostilities between the security forces and BLT for a period
of one month and this will remain in operation till February 21," a Home Ministry
official said.
He said the final round of tripartite talks would be held in early February to
resolve outstanding issues.
