Hyderabad: To put the economy of Jammu and Kashmir back on the track, Chief Minister
Mufti Mohammed Sayeed has sought the expertise of Andhra Pradesh in Information
Technology (IT) and infrastructure development sectors.
"I discussed with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu about the possibility of
developing our state in IT sector," Sayeed told reporters after an interactive
session with Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) representatives.
"We have asked Naidu to share the expertise by sending a team to guide us in
promoting IT," Sayeed, who is in Hyderabad on a tour to woo investors to the strife-
torn state, said.
The veteran People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader, heading a coalition government,
said he invited corporate houses, film industry, travel and trade units during his
visit to Mumbai and other places as his government was committed to provide a
healing touch to the troubled state after the people gave them a mandate, which was
against mindless violence.
"It was a mandate for peace, tranquillity, good governance to address the socio-
economic problems of the people," Sayeed accompanied by his daughter Mehbooba and
Congress leader M R Sharma, said and affirmed that the thrust of his government
would be to revitalise the economy.
Describing the exercise taken up to rebuild the state as a move to accelerate the
process of bringing normalcy in the state, Sayeed said militancy has come down after
the election and the mindset of the people was slowly changing towards having a
peaceful state.
