'Jihadi' Press asks Pak to pull out of war on terror
Sunday, January 26 2003 11:39 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: The "jihadi" Press in Pakistan has been warning the authorities in Islamabad to withdraw from the US-led war on terror as otherwise Pakistan would cease to be an independent and a sovereign state, reports a Pakistani weekly.

"America is against Islam...Jews and Hindus have aligned themselves with the Great Satan (America) and are setting the stage for a crusade against the Muslim world," 'The Friday Times' newsweekly quotes the monthly magazine 'Majalah al-Daawa' brought out by Jamaat ud-Daawa (formerly Lashker-e-Toiba) as having said.

"If we enforce the will of Allah and adopt jihad, no infidel weapons of mass destruction can harm us," the publication said.

'Zarb-e-Momin' published from Karachi cites the recent bombing near Durand line as a wake-up call saying, "If we allow foreign interference in our internal affairs then we have no right to claim we are an independent and sovereign nation."

Another fortnightly 'Shamsher', published from Karachi, while criticising the cable- TV and Internet and claiming the TV was controlled by Jews, says, "If we continue to lap up everything the (Jewish) media serves us, we shall soon be fighting for the Jews."
