Paul to share platform with Powell at itn'l meet

London: Leading NRI (non-resident Indian) industrialist Lord Swraj Paul will share a platform with US Secretary of State Colin Powell at an international conference in Washington next week.

Issues slated to figure at the conference on "US and Asia: What does the future hold?" are Kashmir, Human Rights in Asia, US policy on China and what is the right approach to deal with North Korea.

There will be a separate discussion on Pakistan with the poser "Will (President Pervez) Musharraf Survive?"

Lord Paul, who is also the Ambassador for Overseas British Business, will speak on the subject "India in the 21st Century".

Besides Powell and Lord Paul, the three-day conference, organised by World Affairs Councils of America, will be attended by World Bank president James Wolfensohn, Pulitzer Prize winner Daniel Yergin, US Assistant Secretary of State James A Kelly and Japan Centre for International Exchange president Tadashi Yamamoto.
