New Delhi: Fifty-three personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have been awarded President's Police Medal for Gallantry, President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of the Republic Day this year.

President's Police Medal for Gallantry has been given to 14 personnel, three of them posthumously, while President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service has been awarded to 5 personnel and Police Medal for Meritorious Service to 34 personnel.

The recipients of President's Police Medal for Gallantry are Commandant R P S Rana, Asst Commdt K S Rana, Head Constable G P Singh, Hriday Ram, Constable Prithvi Singh, M P Singh, Mool Singh, Utpal Dev, Ganesh Kumar, Nirmal Prakash and Lakwhinder Singh.

Sub Inspector M S Bishi, Constable S K Das and Ashok Kumar have been awarded the medals posthumously.

President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service, IGP Vageesh Mishra, DIGP M M Sharma, Addn DIGP Rizwan Rasool, Com G M S Khatit and Jagjit Singh.

Police Medal for Meritorious Service are awarded to ADIGP P N Sharma, Comm R Gurbani, B R Singh, Joginder Singh, A S Verma, Suresh Pal Singh, A S Khan, R L Meena, G P Singh, C S Rathore, CMO A Das, Second-in-Commmand A S Rawat, Dy Comm M S Nair, Asst Com Hoshiyar Singh, D P Singh, Inspector M S Chavan, R S Rawat, Ishwar Singh, A K Balan, V K R Kurup, Sub Inspector Kamala Singh, M R Bashkaran, S B Yadav, Head Constable Marcel Lakra, Passang Sherpa, S S Sawant, Nain Singh, Prem Das, G S Shukla, Cook S C Lodh, Subedar Major Uttam Chand, K D pant, M L Sharma and MNJ Nair.
