New Delhi: Having been exonerated of doping charges, distance runner Sunita Rani is
all set to get her medals back next week at a grand ceremony.
Sunita Rani, who was given a clean chit by various national and international
bodies, will be given back her gold and bronze medal that she won at the Busan Asian
Games in September last year, an Amateur Athletic Federation of India (AAFI) press
release said on Thursday.
"The AAFI is organising 'Restoration of Medals' ceremony on February 4," the release
said.
The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), which had stripped the athlete of her medals
after she tested ‘positive’, has already sent her medals to the AAFI for
restoration.
