Mumbai: Around 14 coaches of Dahanu-bound shuttle train derailed on January 31 morning between Palgarh and Umroli on the Virar-Dahanu Road section, Western Railway sources said.

Three long distance trains have been cancelled and other trains diverted, they said.

However, no casualties were reported. Two persons who received minor injuries were given first aid, the sources said.

The train No 117, which left Bandra station at 4.45 am (IST), did not have many passengers, they added.
