New Delhi: India on January 31 reaffirmed its opposition to war on Iraq but its
stand will not have any bearing on Indo-US relations.
"We have said we are not going to support war (on Iraq). This is the principled
stand. It has nothing to do with the relations with the US," Minister of State for
External Affairs Digvijay Singh told reporters on the sidelines of a seminar,
organised by the Indian chapter of Paris-based International Chamber of Commerce
India.
On the resumption of Indo-Pak talks, he ruled out any dialogue till Pakistan halts
the cross-border terrorism.
"We have been saying unless cross-border terrorism is stopped, it will not be
possible for India to have dialogue with Pakistan," Singh said, adding that though
assurances were there, it had not been implemented so far.
