Advani takes a break from diplomacy, plays tourist

Bangkok: Taking out time from his official engagements, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani on February 1 visited the "exquisite" Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha temple, providing memorable photo opportunities to tourists from India.

Spending an hour at the huge palace, Advani appreciated its architectural beauty while going through the various halls.

A group of tourists from Mumbai had the chance of having the Deputy Prime Minister in their midst who posed for group photographs with them.

He mingled with Chinese revellers who were celebrating their new year there and wished them good luck.

Advani also visited the King's Museum.

A delegation of Namdharis in Thailand called on Advani, who enquired about the welfare and philanthropic activities by the community in this country.

Namdharis number 10,000 in Thailand, a Constitutional monarchy.
