Mizoram CM makes minor changes in Cabinet

Aizawal: Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga on February 5 made minor changes in his Council of Ministers to revamp the ruling Mizo National Front (MNF) to face the coming state Assembly polls scheduled to held in the end of the year.

Home Minister Tawnluia, who would concentrate more on party affairs was divested of the Home portfolio, but retained the Public Health Engineering and Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms.

R Tlanghmingthanga was given the Home portfolio, while the Public Works Department was taken from him and will be with the Chief Minister.

H Vanlalauva was divested of the Fisheries and District Council Affairs, which will be with the Chief Minister. He retains the Local Administration department and would also concentrate more on party affairs.

Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies C Lalrinsanga was divested of his portfolio and will now assist Zoramthanga in all his portfolios except Finance.
