Srinagar: Refuting charges that the woman arrested outside the Pakistan High Commission with Rs 3.5 lakh allegedly meant for running separatist activities in the state was bringing money for it, Hurriyat Conference on February 7 said the organisation had nothing to do with it.

"We have nothing to do with it... One should not pay any attention towards such talks," Hurriyat Chairman Abdul Gani Bhatt said.

Claiming that it does not receive any money from Pakistan, Bhatt said money comes from the people of Kashmir who "give their blood for the cause".

"We don't know whether money comes from Pakistan or not. We have nothing to do with it. You should ask those people who have been arrested about this," he said.

Bhat said that his organisation was contemplating shutting down its office in Delhi following the arrest of its office bearers and added that a decision regarding it would be taken at a meeting of its leaders shortly.
