New Delhi: The Lok Janshakti Party on February 7 questioned the "silence" of secular
allies of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and asked them to come out openly against
the government action in moving the Supreme Court seeking permission for allowing
religious activities on the acquired land in Ayodhya.
LJP chief and former Union minister Ramvilas Paswan said the allies were "keeping
mum" when the BJP was executing its own agenda and only making "occasional
barks".
He said all those who swear by the Constitution and believe in Democracy and rule of
Law should oppose the government move.
Paswan said the BJP and sangh parivar organisations like the Rashtriya Swayamsevak
Sangh (RSS), Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal were all one and the same
and in league with each other to befool the people.
He also demanded that the Prime Minister convene a meeting of National Integration
Council to discuss the Ayodhya issue.
