Jabalpur: Defence Minister George Fernandes on February 10 termed the "war of words" between India and Pakistan and expulsion of diplomats by the two countries as "nothing serious".

Talking informally to reporters soon after the Defence Parliamentary Advisory Committee meeting that concluded at College of Material Management campus in Jabalpur, Fernandes said this would not have any serious implications on relations between the two countries.

This was Fernandes' maiden visit to Jabalpur as the Defence Minister even as the Advisory Committee meeting was also held in the city for the first time.

Commenting on the fifth generation aircraft construction and export, he said it was still in the preliminary stage.

Referring to recent bomb blasts at Defence establishments, the Defence Minister pointed out that it was for the state governments to take action.
