Berhampur (Orissa): Suspected activists of People's War group (PWG) torched a bus and jeep in Batli area of Andhra Pradesh, close to Orissa border, police sources said on February 10.

In both cases that occurred on February 9 night they allowed the occupants to alight unharmed before torching the vehicles, the sources said.

The armed ultras first torched the bus in Batli, located close to Nilakanthapur village in Orissa.

The activists then set a jeep of Andhra Pradesh transport department on fire in the same area, the sources said.

The ultras later escaped under forest cover.
