Kalam, Shekhawat greet nation on Id-ul-Zuha

New Delhi: President A P J Abdul Kalam and Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat n February 11 greeted the nation on the occasion of Id-ul-Zuha, to be celebrated on February 12.

"Let us on this day, recall the spirit of sacrifice and resolve to work together for peace, harmony and national unity," Kalam said in his message.

Offering his good wishes to all fellow citizens, he greeted the people who performed Haj Baitullah this year.

"This day is also an occasion to share our joy with all our people and to share our happiness and resources with the suffering people who are in need," the President said.

"This moment reminds us all that man's readiness to sacrifice everything to God's will, shall bless us with divine grace and compassion," Shekhawat said in his message.

"May the holy spirit of this memorable day bring bliss, harmony, peace and happiness in our lives," he said.
