Jammu: Two Army soldiers were injured as Pakistani troops resorted to heavy mortar
shelling and small arms firing along the line of control (LoC) and international
border in Rajouri and Poonch sectors of Jammu and Kashmir on February 11, official
sources said.
Pakistani troops rained mortar shells and opened heavy firing on forward posts along
LoC in Romli Dhara, Kalal and Makri areas in Rajouri sector from 10.00 am (IST) to
5.00 pm (IST), injuring two Army jawans, the sources said.
Indian troops also retaliated and targeted forward Pakistani posts, the sources
said, but added that there were no reports about damage and casualty to the other
side.
Pak Rangers fired on 17 border outposts in R S Pura, Samba and Ramgarh areas of
Jammu sector on February 10 night, the sources said.
In the firing, six cattle head were wounded and a cowshed damaged at Chownhi area of
Ramgarh, they said.
