Tuesday, February 11 2003 15:00 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: In a bid to iron out differences between coalition partners in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee will meet Chief Minister Mayawati along with Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president M Venkaiah Naidu on February 15 following attacks on her on the issue of arrest of Independent MLA Raja Bhaiya.

"Mayawati will have a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani and myself on the 15th in which we will discuss the entire gamut of BJP-BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party) relations in the state and also steps to ensure smooth functioning of the coalition in the state," Naidu told reporters on February 11, adding that they will meet Vajpayee later in the day.

He said a day before this meeting, he along with Advani will have a meeting with party leaders from the state to discuss the prevailing political situation in the state as also the recent dissidence in the party in the state. The state leaders will also be present in the meeting between Mayawati, Advani and Naidu.

The meeting comes in the wake of the discussions that Mayawati had on February 9 with Advani in which she had complained against BJP leaders in the state.
