Ranchi: External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha on February 11 warned Pakistan to
restrain its diplomatic staff in New Delhi from activities incompatible with their
official position.
"It depends on what they do. If they (Pakistan) do not act, we will do," Sinha told
reporters when asked about the expulsions of Pakistan's Charge d' Affaires Jalil
Abbas Jilani and four staffers in the Pak High Commission.
To a query on the end to the tit-for-tat expulsions between the two neighbours, Sinha
replied, "How can I predict".
He ruled out any possibility of a meeting with Pakistan on the sidelines of the
non-aligned summit at Kuala Lumpur scheduled on February 20.
The Indo-Pak relations hit a new low recently when both the nations expelled each
other's top level diplomats and other staff members after the Delhi Police named
Jilani in a case related to funding of Kashmiri separatists by the Pakistan mission
in the national capital.
