One killed, two injured by Ranvir Sena in Bihar
Wednesday, February 12 2003 15:33 Hrs (IST)

Gaya (Bihar): Banned Ranvir Sena activists killed one person and injured two others at Newdhi village in Bihar's Gaya district late February 11 night, the police said on February 12.

The district superintendent of police, Ravindran Shankaran, told reporters that an armed band of the Sena swooped down on the village and opened indiscriminate firing, killing Jeetendra Yadav on the spot.

Two others, Alamgir and Gorelal, were injured in the firing by the Sena workers, he said, adding they were admitted to a government hospital.

Old enmity was suspected to be the reason behind the Sena attack, the SP said.
