Shillong: An earthquake of mild intensity measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale rocked Shillong and its adjoining areas at 16:06 hours on February 24, according to Central Seismological Observatory Centre.

The epicentre was located at about 13 kms away from Shillong.

There was no loss of life or damage to property, official sources said.
