Jammu: Militants gunned down four civilians and injured two others, firing indiscriminately at two places in Siot village of Rajouri district in Jammu division on February 24 night, official sources said on February 25.

A group of armed militants went to a shop in the village and opened indiscriminate fire, killing the owner of the shop and three customers on the spot, the sources said.

The unidentified militants later fired on a truck on its way from Rajouri to Jammu, seriously injuring the driver and cleaner of the vehicle.

Both the injured have been admitted in Government Medical College hospital in Jammu.

Meanwhile, security forces have launched search operations in the area to track down the ultras.
