Daltonganj: Suspected extremists on February 26 blasted Koshiyara railway station in
Jharkhand's Palamu district and removed fishplates near it, disrupting train traffic
for over five hours, police said.
Superintendent of police Anil Palta told reporters that suspected extremists took
the station manager and another staff member hostage before exploding two bombs to
blow up the railway station, which functioned from a tent camp since it was blown up
by People's War a month ago.
There was no report of any casualty due to the blasts and the attackers also looted
blankets and some cash before releasing the two men.
They also removed the fishplates from the tracks nearby.
Raids were on to nab the culprits, he added.
