Kuala Lumpur: Pakistan on February 25 night said it was "surprised" over the "angry
outburst" of Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee over its President Pervez Musharraf
raising the Kashmir issue at the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit.
In a written rejoinder to Vajpayee's remarks, Pakistan also took exception to the
Prime Minister charging Islamabad with masking territorial designs while referring
to Kashmir issue and claimed that Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir should
be "no reason for satisfaction".
The "right of reply" was circulated at the NAM conference a day after Vajpayee and
Musharraf clashed over the Kashmir issue on the opening day of the NAM summit.
