New Delhi: Sri Lankan Premier Ranil Wickremesinghe on March 1 held wide-ranging
talks on bilateral co-operation with Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and is
understood to have briefed him on the peace process with Liberation Tigers of Tamil
Eelam (LTTE).
The talks were followed by a lunch hosted by Vajpayee for Wickremesinghe, who is on
a private visit to Delhi, official sources said.
The Sri Lankan leader had said on February 28 night that the two countries were
working on an agreement for economic co-operation that will broaden the range of
goods traded freely between them.
