Kohima: Nagaland Chief Minister S C Jamir resigned on March 3 following the Congress defeat in the just-concluded Assembly poll.

Jamir drove to the Raj Bhavan and submitted his resignation to the Governor Shyamal Dutta.

According to Raj Bhavan sources, the Governor asked Jamir to continue till alternative arrangements were made.
