Shillong: In a new political twist, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Legislature party leader E D Marak on March 3 staked claim to form the government in Meghalaya.

Marak, who was elected leader of NCP Legislature party late March 2 night, accompanied by NCP state unit president Robert Kharsiing, met Governor M M Jacob and staked the claim.
