Monday, March 3 2003 13:13 Hrs (IST)

Kohima: Re-polling at five polling stations of two Assembly segments in remote Tuensang district of Nagaland began on March 3 morning on a moderate note with no report of any untoward incident.

While counting for Longlend segment will begin on March 3 evening immediately after re-polling is over, it will take place on March 4 in Thonoknyu segment.

Meanwhile in Tripura, re-polling in one booth of Jubarajnagar Assembly constituency began from 07:00 hours (IST) on March 3 amidst tight security, sources in the Election Department said.

The re-poll was ordered due to mechanical problem in one electronic voting machine (EVM) during counting. The booth has 649 voters.
