Jammu: Four Hizbul Mujahideen militants were killed on March 4 in an encounter with
security forces in Kashatigarh area in Doda district in Jammu division, a police
spokesman said.
Acting on specific information regarding the presence of militants in the area,
security forces launched an operation early March 4 morning, he said, adding four
militants of Hizbul Mujahideen were killed in the ensuing encounter.
Three of the slain militants have been identified as Javad Ahmed, Gulshan Sheikh and
Yasin Aarif, he said.
Some arms and ammunition, including four AK rifles, have been recovered from the
site, he said.
