Srinagar: Four militants of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), including a
Pakistani national, were killed in a snow avalanche that hit South Kashmir district
of Anantnag two days ago following heavy snowfall, police said.
The four, who were hiding in a hut situated at Anthak forest in Hapatnar near
Aishmuqam, 70 kms from Srinagar, died when the avalanche hit the area during the
intervening night of March 2 and 3.
Two of them have been identified as Farooq Ahmad Bhat of Nagbal and Furkan Ahmad
alias Abu Mash of Pakistan, who was a commander of the outfit, police added.
