Chhota Rajan gangster killed in encounter

Mumbai: A member of Chhota Rajan gang was killed in a police encounter at Evaradnagar near suburban Chunabhatti early March 6.

Police said that acting on information that Sunil Kadam who is working for the Rajan gang would be arriving at truck terminal bridge to meet an acquaintance, they laid a trap.

On spotting Kadam, police asked him to surrender but he instead opened fire at the police team. In the return fire by police, Kadam was seriously injured.

He was rushed to Sion Hospital where he was declared dead before admission, police said.

The gangster was wanted in some cases of extortion and serious crime, police added.
